1. Brush coat to remove excess hair and dirt.
2. Run water until room temperature.
3. Shampoo straight down the spine of coat, then follow with the chest, tummy, tail and legs. Watch out for eyes, nose and ears – keep shampoo and water away from them. Best leave the head last and finish it with a wet towel soaked with a bit of shampoo that can be removed with another clean wet towel. Tip: You can pop a cotton ball into each ear before the bath. Be careful not to push them in too far — just enough so they’re snug.
4. Work into gentle lather using hands or a brush/comb.
5. Rinse well until water runs clear.
6. Finish with the B&M conditioner and work through fur with hands or brush/comb.
7. Rinse well until water runs clear.
8. Towel dry or air dry or use low temp setting on hairdryer. Tip: Wrap your pet in a towel and leave it on to absorb the water first. Once you remove the towel, the inevitable coat shake will follow, so watch out!
9. Compliment dog on patience and awesomeness with a treat (or even better – tons of treats).
