Micellar Water for Eyes

I love Barkin & Meowson products - they’re good quality and aren’t full of chemicals. I have a Chorkie who has brownish/reddish fur so although it doesn’t look as though he has tear stains, the fur around his eyes does need to be cleansed as there is a bit of staining. He’s not the best at any form of grooming but he just about tolerates this. I spray the solution on a cotton wool pad - he seems to automatically lose his eyes when I do it but I trust that even if he didn’t, there’s nothing in the water that could harm him. It’s a bit expensive but you need such a small amount that it will last for ages and I think it’s worth paying a little bit extra for a safe, good quality product.

I am a massive fangirl of all things Barkin and Meowson, the products are vet approved, well made, use quality ingredients and always do a great job. This micellar water is no different. Usually their products smell amazing, but quite rightly for a product being used in a sensitive area like around the eyes, this is unfragranced.My dogs both have gunky eyes, and my shih tzu gets tear stains. This is a good spray which I applied to a cotton wool pad and rubbed around her eyes, it did remove all the tear stains, but my girls eyes get so much gunk, that just wiping around her eye created another 'eye snot'. I did wipe it away but needed a different, clean, unsprayed, pad as it was right in the corner of her eye and I didn't want to risk this going in her eye, as per the instructions. I am hoping I am not just making her eyes more snotty!The reason i have removed a star is that my dog absolutely hates this, she is a bit afraid of the spray, so i need to spray the pad out of her sight, an option to get this with a different top where you could drop the water onto the pad would be nice. She just really hates me wiping around her eyes, I have been doing this for years with just water, or my fingers, and she tolerates that, but for some reason she tries to avoid me using this product on the tissue or pad, not sure why - this is the first time she has reacted like this to a barkin and meowson product.Overall though it does work really well, my other dog tolerates it, but her eyes are a bit less gunky. She has cream fur so the tear stains are a big issue if I don't keep on top of them, this product for the price seems a bit pricey for me, and whilst it is from an excellent brand I don't see this as much great value as I do with their other products, given how often I would need to use it.

No smell to this which is good for something you're using near your dogs' face. I've been applying it to a cotton pad and wiping around the eye area to clean up any gunk - works well enough, gets the job done without much fuss.My dogs aren't exactly fans of having their eyes cleaned, but that's probably more about the process than the product itself. They tolerate it and it clears things up nicely. Really nice product.
