Barkin&Meowson came to life thanks to a certain hair care product manager who felt like pets were underserved.
Dorothy Miteva, proud rescuer of three cats, Oliver, Olivia and Gigi, mom of a golden retriever, Benji, and a regular helping hand at several rescue organizations, thought the pet care market is not reaching its potential in delivering products that help pets feel better in their skin, and shine brighter on the outside.
For her, bringing better at home care to pets and their parents, is a mission.
Our Goal
Following Dorothy’s lead, Barkin&Meowson empowers pet parents to deliver elevated care at home— thoughtfully designed to be effective, enjoyable for pets, and effortless for everyday life.
Combining high-quality formulations with vet-trusted efficacy and safety, our products address specific coat types and real grooming needs, while providing a refined sensory experience, from texture to fragrance.
Our Process
After passing internal regulatory approval, pH and stability tests, every formula goes to be reviewed by a vet dermatologist, Dr. Vacheva. Once approved, it goes for experience and effectiveness check by Dorothy and her pet family. Should iterations be needed, the cycle repeats as many times as necessary. Once everyone is satisfied, the said product goes for final check to the groomers Dorothy works with. And only when they give their excellency approval, aproductgoes to market.
