Dark Coat Shampoo

Absolutely stunning product! My two lab mixes SHINE after using the dark coat shampoo and moisturizing conditioner. The smell is sooooo good, I love it! Snuggle time is definitely a pleasure!

The Barkin & Meowson Colour Boost Shampoo uses caramel and walnut extracts to naturally enhance dark pet coats. This vet-recommended formula is paraben and sulphate free while featuring an odor neutralizing action to keep pets smelling fresh. It is a gentle option for maintaining deep coat colors without harsh chemicals. our largely black dog came out looking shiny and soft. Very pleased.

I love this dog shampoo for dark coated dogs. I am using this shampoo on my mini Doodle Myla, her coat is dense and semi long and takes a lot of effort to wash it. I found that this shampoo can be easily massaged into the layers of her coat, the shampoo is a little bit runnier than others which makes spreading it around into her coat easier. The shampoo lathers well, but again not as much as others I have used. This made it easier to thoroughly rinse Myla’s coat. The scent of this shampoo is lovely, delicate and a bit like an expensive perfume,It is not overpowering though. I have noticed that Myla’s coat is really soft now, and has a shine to it. It’s hard to tell if the colour is any richer, maybe this will happen over time with continued use. We are both very happy with this shampoo, Myla loves a cuddle so it makes this more enjoyable when she smells so lovely.

As the owner of 2 dogs who like to get muddier than the puddles that they play in, I wanted to try a shampoo that was specific to each of their coats. Our Chocolate spaniel often has a cross between chocolate brown smooth fur and orangutan orange popping up everywhere like daisies in a field.Colour boost dog shampoo is designed for brown coated pooches and has caramel & walnut in it. It's a smart looking pump bottle so it's easy to dispense when trying to hold a shower head and keep a dog still 😂The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous smell of caramel. It wasn't overpowering or sickly but just enough to suddenly crave salted caramel chocolate! The shampoo was a mid brown colour and a nice consistency - not so runny that it falls off your hand in the transfer to the dog and not to thick that you have to work from a single point on their coat. The pump on the bottle makes it so much easier to use.3 pumps lathered up nicely and felt nice going onto the dogs coat. It didn't leave a feeling of being tangled or bitty like some can. Rinsing was just as easy which I loved. There's nothing worse than a shampoo that takes forever to rinse out especially when your dog has had enough.The quality of this dog shampoo is pretty good, I can say that when his coat was dry it did have a beautiful sheen to it. I suppose it boosted the colour too as it looked browner than before even if only a little - it could be down to having had the dirt washed off though 😂. If you were to compare the effects like you do a human shampoo, you would think a nice gloss mask had been used.Afterwards, I had the most delicious smelling pooch. I've used the shampoo twice now on the pooch and both times have shown great results, no signs of dryness or irritation either.With the amount of product needed each time, the size of the bottle and the result, this shampoo is great value for money and is going to last.

The bottle comes in a 350ml size and is designed to help repel fleas and ticks. It's veterinary-approved and paraben-free, which is a nice plus. This shampoo lathers well and rinses off easily, so bath time is pretty hassle-free. It doesn't really have any standout or unique features, which is why I feel it's a bit expensive for its price point. As for results, I noticed that my dog's fur looked shinier compared to before. My dog doesn't have fleas or ticks to begin with, but scent-wise, I think this shampoo works well as a preventive option. Overall, it does the job, just nothing too special beyond that.

Leaves them felling and looking super clean and smelling great too so would fully recommend as good value for the brand and really happy wioth6 it.

Genuinely fantastic for dogs. We've been using Barkin & Meowson a lot recently, after getting a few bottles from Amazon, and we've used them on about 5 pups (ours and friends). They leave the dogs smelling great and looking fantastic! Plus, we used this on a friend's dog notorious for her allergies and it didn't flare anything up! (obviously check the ingredients first if your dog has allergies and take extreme care. Dog/cats health comes first.)Just like the 'lightening' shampoo, we've noticed dark coats look clean, but I wouldn't say darker. Honestly can't tell if that's a marketing gimmick or if there's active ingredients in these. What I can say is - when used - the dog looks and smells great afterwards. So happy days. Also good for sensitive skins. Price seems about right, your pets deserve some quality stuff.Overall, love this stuff, will gladly get it again.

This is a quality product with nothing nasty added to it and you get the impression it is the type of shampoo that you would be happy to use on your own hair and that’s the way it should be. A little goes a long way and lathers up well and runs off leaving her coat looking lovely. It has a male sense that doesn’t irritate our girl at all and again they have carefully made sure of the quality of this. The 350 mL bottle will last as for ages and it comes with a handy pump dispenser which makes it nice and easy to use. The price is reasonable and I could see us using this on a regular basis especially at this time of year.

So, I tested it first and it left my hair feeling gloriously soft and much brighter in colour ( I have dark brown dyed hair). You only need a small amount as it lathers up really well. The colour that becomes out when pumped is a reddish brown colour with a very faint scent. I felt no I'll elects when using it, so I then used it on my dogs coat too. This doesn't have a scent which has your dog running to the garden to try and remove either. You just turn the nozzle to open and pump int your hand after wetting your dogs fur. Lather between your hands then lather into the dogs coat before washing off. Make sure you fully remove it as it can leave a chalky feel residue if not properly washed or. Her coat was so lovely afterwards. Now cost wise, it's expensive at £15.99 for 350mls but if it left my hair as it did, then I would buy it as it surpasses human shampoos too.

End result on both was good, but the liquid doesn’t stay in the hand particularly well and takes quite a lot for it to lather. A slightly thicker liquid would have been preferable. It washed out easily and doesn’t leave any discernible smell. Both dogs were fine afterwards, so it doesn’t cause skin itchiness.

This dog shampoo is a cut above the standard dog shampoos.This one is particularly for dark hair and smells beautiful and it's consistency is smooth and luxurious feeling.You don't need much to produce a generous lather for your dog and leaves their coat soft shiny and very healthy.Yes it's expensive compared to others on the market but in my opinion worth the extra outlay.The packaging and bottle made from quality plastic complete the premium feel.
