Fabrics & Upholstery Cleaner

After using this for a few weeks I can say that textiles in my home (sofa and cushions) do have a more neutral scent to them and doggy smells have been reduced.It’s in a nicely designed spray bottle which is easy to open and dispense and I used add a few sprays to fabric about 5 minutes before giving something a clean or scrub as wash as normal.Good value and has worked well

Designed to both clean and neutralise pet odours on textiles (including rugs and upholstery), this is an effective product but with a rather strong smell which I must say I'm not very keen on (it reminds me of 'new car smell', which I do not like!), although having said it, it doesn't bother the dog at all, which is probably more important.I have used it to clean areas where my dog has peed indoors, and it has both removed the odour and the stains, without any damage to my rugs (synthetic, I would not use it on wool). There are warnings on the bottle about the liquid being corrosive and causing serious eye damage, so it is important (and slightly nerve-wracking!) to keep pets away from the area until it has dried and been vacuumed.Works well but needs to be handled with care.

I was able to test this out quicker than I wanted to. Unfortunately, my dog had an upset stomach and vomited on my runner. It was his food and some yellow bile, and we all know how hard it is to get yellow bile out of things. I cleaned up as much of the food as possible and took some kitchen roll to soak up as much liquid as I could. I then sprayed the textile cleaner on the spot and left it to sit for approx. 5 minutes. I had to do a bit of scrubbing, and I also had to respray it, as the yellow bile was really hard to get out. After about 15 minutes of scrubbing, the stain was fully out. The spray has a lovely fresh scent to it, and a little goes a long way. I think it's a great spray that does work, but I do think it's a bit expensive at £14.95. I have tried about 10 items from the Barkin & Meowson range, and I've been really happy with everything so far.

Another fabulous Barkin and Meowson product to add to the collection. I regulally use their shampoo product on my dog but this is the first time for trying one of their cleaning products. First impressions of this textile cleaning spray.... well its pretty good!I experimented on an old rug that had an unsightly stain in the middle of it. Instructions for use are easy - hoover the area first and spray the product, leave for 5 minutes. I then rubbed with a damp microfibre cloth and the stain had already begun to lift. It was an old stain so I repeated the process one more time. As you can see from the before and after photos the results speak for themselves.There's a slight fragrance to the product but it's not strong or chemical smelling. I will be using this on all the marks and stains that appear on my carpets and soft furnishings in the future.

As our elderly JRT has reached old age she can’t always indicate when she’d like to pee outside so ordered this to neutralise the odour (without having to resort to the strong smelling vinegar solution). If arrived in a standard spray bottle which is easy to use- simply turn the nozzle to on or off. You just spray the stain (would recommend soaking up excess liquid from stain first) and it eliminates the smell. A little goes a long way. I chose to use a damp cloth to press into the stain, but you do not have to.The fragrance of the spray is pleasant, almost minty but not overpowering. All the ingredients are pet safe so you don’t need to separate your pets from the area before using. The smell lasts quite a few hours but when it’s gone so has the original smell which is exactly what you want. I’ve included a photo of the culprit next to a previously stained rug- but now the stain (and smell) have gone.It’s also worth mentioning their brand logo- which is both whimsical and funny. It’s made me want to look at their other products to see what they have to offer. I’m very impressed with this item and would definitely reorder! Highly recommend.

[Photo of before and after I applied it, and the stupid face responsible for the stain in the first place.]I got this because I have a bulldog and they're built so they can't really reach to properly clean themselves, and at the risk of revealing my shameful secret... he wipes poo on things. He sits on soft furnishings and his butt is not always the cleanest and it's just bad. I admit this only so you realise how high the stakes are here. This stuff is a lot more expensive than the average cleaner I use, but I can promise that it works REALLY HARD for the price tag.Since I'm not gonna photograph his unspeakable crime scenes, I tested it on his blanket after I discovered he rubbed beans into it (because bulldogs are an abomination and he eats like a blender with the lid off). They were crispy and caked in, and usually I'd have to thoroughly wet the area before having a go at scrubbing the red out before popping it in the washer, but I just went straight into it with this spray. The instructions say to treat stains as soon as possible, as dried stains are harder to remove, but it makes REALLY short work of even tough crispy stains. This is great because I'm here looking at my keyboard and he's probably out there rubbing mud and ketchup into the rug as I type.It's easy to use and comes in a lockable spray bottle for quick application, so I just gave it a quick few squirts with the spray, left it for way less than the recommended 5-minute time, and then easily wiped off the stain with an old cloth. It came off SO clean! I didn't even have to wash it again! When I use regular stain removers I always have to wash the fabric after as I don't want him sticking his face into a bunch of chemicals, but this is so much safer so I didn't have to full hazmat the blanket or open the window.Unphotographed test: yes it also works on poo. The area was stain-free, deodorised and safe to throw in the washer without having to do a separate load.I really am impressed how quickly this worked on dried-in stains, and I'm definitely going to get a LOT of use out of this. Absolutely recommended if you too suffer from dog butt.

Being a dog owner and lover, I'm determined that my boy is the best dog in the world but in reality, he's an absolute pain in the backside. He does occasionally leave a mark somewhere on my soft furnishings and it needs a quick freshen up, so having a spray that is especially made for this purpose is ideal to have around the house.As if on queue, he decided that today was the day that I'd be testing this new spray out (thanks, mate!) but not to worry, I did need to see how it performs.I did check that this spray was safe to use on the fabric by spraying on a hidden area prior to use. Then I removed the excess stain using a cloth and after this, I sprayed it with the textile cleaner, until it was saturated (it doesn't state how much to use but in my experience, more is better. However, you can always retreat). I left it for 5 minutes and then used a damp cloth to gently remove the stain.The fragrance is fresh but not too strong. The dirt was removed and left smelling clean. It seems to be really effective. I like that it's pet safe, as this is really important to me. The spray trigger is effective and simple to use.This is currently £14.95 for a 450ml bottle so it is a bit pricey BUT it does work. I've used shampoo from this brand before and this is excellent so I have no doubt that this is worth the higher price. The decision for a buyer is if you think that it is worth it or not. I do recommend this product, and think that it's worth paying that bit more for.

While the formula is mild, it had enough "oomph" to handle the spill. I noticed it lacks a built-in brush, so I had to provide my own to ensure it reached the deeper fibers of the carpet. I’ve recently tried a few products from the Barkin & Meowson range (firstly, love the name 😄), and I’m becoming really impressed with the brand. This Odour Neutralising Textile Cleaning Spray is another solid win.What I particularly like about this spray is that it genuinely cleans fabrics and removes unpleasant smells without leaving behind an overpowering fragrance. That’s a big plus in a pet household. My Jack Russell is very sensitive to strong, perfumed smells and in the past, if I’ve used heavily scented sprays to freshen her bedding between washes, she’s been reluctant to go anywhere near her bed afterwards.With this spray, that hasn’t been an issue at all.
