Hydrating Paw & Nose Balm

I recently took our Ragdoll cat to the vet for her checkup and the vet told me she had a bit of rough/hard skin on one of her paws. When I saw this paw balm i thought it might help so I ordered it.The balm comes in a handy tin. It has no discernable scent, it's completely unperfumed. The consistency reminds me a bit of lip balm or vaseline. It's very easy to apply. I was worried I'd see greasy paw prints all over the floor but it absorbs very quickly. It's a bit too early to tell how effective it is but our cat doesn't seem to mind it. She hasn't had any adverse reactions to it. As far as value goes £13.95 seems quite expensive but it's a nice big tub, a little goes a long way, so it should last a long time. Overall I'm happy with this balm and would recommend it.

The thicker consistency helps the balm to stay in place for longer. The formula is also fragrance free. The ingredients are 99% natural too, what’s not to like?

As soon as I opened the tin, my dog was all over it. You can see in the photos, the nose went straight in. It’s got a really mild, natural scent and it’s not super thick or waxy like some other brands I’ve tried. It’s more of a smooth, buttery feel. It spreads really easily onto the pads, which is great because I don’t have much time to rub it in before he tries to wiggle away or lick it off. I’d definitely recommend this.

Pretty standard paw balm, nothing particularly special but it does what it says. The texture is more waxy than jelly-like, so you need to warm it up a bit with your finger before it softens enough to apply properly. Once it melts it goes on fine though.My dog's paws weren't in bad shape to begin with, so I can't say I've noticed a dramatic difference - but it does leave them feeling smoother and hopefully gives a bit of protection. No smell at all, which is a plus if your dog's fussy about that sort of thing. Honestly couldn't tell you how it compares to other balms I've used in the past. It works, it's just nothing that stands out.

Balm for nose and paws although I only use it on dogs paws as mine never have a dry nose but I can see it would be ideal for those that suffer from cracked or dry snitches. There is no smell which is good . Its nice and thick but does rub in well . The only thing I'm not so keen on is the tin - its soft aluminium and the lid is quite tight to put on - one of my efforts actually made the tin mishapen - this is possibly as the balm actually only half fills the tin, so I would prefer it in a smaller tin making it more convenient to carry around with you. It is effective and I like that it is paraben, sulfate & cruelty free. Interestingly although 99% natural I dont notice anywhere where it says it is lick safe. Its slightly more expensive than some balms but not enough to prevent me buying it

This balm is fabulous, the ingredients are all gentle, nourishing and natural. Most importantly it’s completely safe for your dog.The tin is great for keeping the balm fresh - it might not appear to be a huge amount but simply swiping your finger over the surface melts the balm to a liquid state. You don’t need much (as I discovered) I overdid it and massaged the excess on my hands - it’s SO nourishing and gentle I’ll be using it myself 😂 There’s no discernible smell and absorbs so nicely too.Excellent quality and definitely worth the price for such a safe and quality balm.

This is a nice, non-greasy balm which works well on paws and noses. My dog doesn't mind it at all and is quite happy to let me apply it. She also doesn't lick it off her paws, so it stands a chance of working long term.You get a good amount for the money, and a little goes a long way in use, so it's pretty good value for money.

Arriving in a screw-top tin, this is a good quality and minimally greasy balm for paws and noses. The tin contains 60g, which will last a long time as a little goes a long way. The balm has no noticeable odour and my dog doesn't leave greasy footprints after I put it on her (always a plus!). Her paws feel softer already after applying it for a couple of days! Great product.

I have an American Bulldog whose nose dries and cracks easily. I had great success with the Barkin & Meowson hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner, so I was excited to try their nose balm. The balm melts pretty quickly, so it sinks into my dog's nose very fast. I've been using it a few days now and have seen such an improvement already. It's a large tin, so I think it will last quite a while.

I have a german shepherd, and we are out a lot in the woods and big parks. She runs a lot and goes into all sorts of places. I use this balm all the time to help little scratches and keep her paws moisturized. She loves it!

I’ve only used this once so far, but I’m already impressed. My dog’s nose looks visibly less cracked, and she didn’t mind me applying it at all. The balm is soft and melts easily (kind of like coconut oil), so it goes on smoothly without feeling thick or waxy. Easy to apply and seems to be helping already. Seems to be really effective, smells neutral and personally I think it’s good value for a large tin that will last a long time

I’ve been trying to find a good balm to use on my dog’s pads having noticed that they were very dry, rough & cracked following the recent spell of frosty & snowy weather. She’s 10 years old & it’s the first time her paws have been like this, she doesn’t really like her feet being messed around with so I wasn’t sure how she’d take to having anything applied to her paws. I found the balm to be very soft, a bit too soft for my liking, it was messy to apply & my dog got a bit fed up with me trying to rub it into her pads. That said, I ended up rubbing the residue into my hands & it felt really nice! I’m sure if you’ve got a very calm, patient dog who doesn’t mind his/her feet being handled it would be easier to use, or if it’s just for use on a nose I’m sure it would be ok.

I tried this hydrating nose & paw balm for dry paw pads on my cats, as ocassionally that is an issue with winter heating/carpeting and dry air. It was purchased for light maintenance and not any type of severe cracking.From first use I'd describe it as fairly average. It does what it says on the tin (literally, get it?) but nothing about it really stands out, for the price, compared to similar, cheaper alternatives. The consistency is also quite wax-like and it definitely needs warming up prior to applying. it doesn't feel as easily spreadable, but perhaps it's also less likely to get wiped off as quick? I don't know, hard to tell.On the positive side, it IS fragrance free which i do appreciate. My cats were curious rather than repelled by it. They tolerated it well and didn't attempt to wash or shake it off immediately, so that was a win. In terms of hydration, I haven't noticed much difference, but the changes would be so minimal, that I think it would require much more time to witness. Perhaps i'd finish the tin by that time, since it's medium-small and I have two pets.With that said I also feel it's overpriced. Based on performance alone it feels ike a standard pet balm, hard to justify the cost. I can't say, in my opinion, it offers anything notably better.Overall it is a perfectly usable nose and paw balm with gentle ingredients and zero scent, but for me it falls into the "does the job" category rather something I'd rave about.

My favourite dog-pal (Paco) often gets dry and cracked paws and nose (particularly his nose) so I regularly purchase balm to give him some relief. His nose gets especially bad in the winter months.This Barkin & Meowson (cool brand name!) comes in a metal tin with a screw top lid, with 60g / 60ml of balm inside. It's 99% Natural Ingredients, Cruelty Free, pH Balanced, Fragrance, Sulfate and Paraben Free and contains a few oils: beeswax, soybean, jojoba, coconut, sweet almond.Beforehand I use micellar water (pretty much water + soap) on a cotton pad to cleanse Paco's paws / nose, then massage Nose & Paw Balm onto his skin.A little goes a long way. The balm is a bit harder and not as soft as, say, Vaseline but it melts into the fingertips and should last a long time.There's no scent (that doesn't stop his younger, always-hungry dog companion Zuri from trying to lick it off when she gets her pamper session! Her skin's nowhere as dry as Paco's). Zuri gets jealous if she doesn't get the same treatment :)After a few days, Paco's nose is much smoother and doesn't seem to "annoy" him as much (I sometimes catch him pawing his nose when we run out of balm). Nose & Paw Balm is an essential for him and it's reassuring to know his skin's more comfortable.The current price of £13.95 is a tad pricey but okay when on offer. This seems to be a more "premium" pet range so the cost is in line with other products from Barkin & Meowson (who sell items like pet shampoos, conditioners, sprays, etc).These balms last absolutely ages - so it's worth it for a natural, gentle, effective product.

A lovely little balm which my dog thoroughly loves the taste of. Noticed a marked improvement in both her nose and pads on her paws, so well worth a purchase.

Only discovered this brand recently but really love them and this is a lovely nose balm form them - very effective and easy to apply. A little goes a long way too so should last a long time so is good value too. Is good for paw pads too and leaves them lovely and soft with no weird smell. Very safe for your pup and good value for the brand and what it is so would fully recommend and happily get again.

This is perfect for our girl at this time of year as the roads get easy and her paws get irritated at times. It is gentle and fragrance free and she doesn’t seem to mind that being applied at all. Good quality ingredients with no nasties. In a nice easy to use tin at a reasonable price. A quality product that we will order more of in the future.
